Bay Electric hosts OSHA
training class
Over 30 to
attend four day training program
Newport News, Va., January 5,
2006 – Bay Electric Co., Inc., (www.bayelectricco.com)
a general contracting and electrical service company based in
Newport News, announced today that the company was hosting an OSHA
30 training course at its Newport News headquarters in January.
Over 32 attendees from four Chesapeake Bay area companies have signed up for the
OSHA training course, according to Barry Robertson, Executive Vice President of
Bay Electric.
Developed by the OSHA Training institute, the OSHA 30 course includes
instruction on OSHA compliance and recordkeeping, personal protective equipment,
hazard communication and emergency preparedness.
Circle Safety & Health Consultants of Richmond will conduct the four day OSHA
course set for January 13, 14, 20 and 21. Specializing in workplace safety and
health management system training, the company is also an authorized provider of
the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Workplace training courses.
Attending the OSHA 30 course from Bay Electric are Jeff Ford, Steven Hardisty,
Kenneth Harris, Brian James, Jim Kendall, Robert Landes, Daniel Lebo, Rodney
McPherson, Vernon Musis, Lee Nebrotskie, Gerard Palmisano, Ralph Patton, Steve
Pierce, Christopher Ring, Marcos Rios, Steven Smith, Michael Sterne, Jamal
Strayhorn, Salay Thongvathsa, David Weare, and Jack Williams.
Also attending are representatives from Snap Contracting Corporation, Hampton,
Va.; Pipeline and Industrial Group, Inc., Virginia Beach; and Z-Corp, Norfolk,
Va.
This is the second time that Bay Electric has hosted an OSHA 30 class. With the
completion of this training course, 44 Bay Electric employees will have become
OSHA 30 certified.
