Bay Electric and M.C. Dean, Inc. form SBA Mentor-Protégé alliance
Two companies create a joint venture, Bay-Dean LLC
Newport News, Va., January 10,
2006 – Bay Electric Co., Inc., a minority-owned building and
electrical contractor headquartered in Newport News, Va., and M.C.
Dean, Inc., one of the nation’s premier engineering and
integration firms, announced today that the two companies have
established a Mentor-Protégé relationship under the Small Business
Association’s 8(a) program.
Through this
program, M.C. Dean, Inc., a Dulles, Va.-based., homeland security systems
integrator with more than 1,850 employees and 15 offices worldwide, will provide
technical assistance and resources to support Bay Electric’s abilities to
successfully pursue federal government contracts.

clients a support staff with over 300 engineers, 500 electricians, and 500

The Bay/Dean joint
venture is backed by the firms’ combined multi-million dollar resources and
