Steve Lynch receives Bay's 4th quarter safety award
Award recognizes Lynch's work at Boone Clinic
Newport News, Va., January 6,
2006 –
Bay Electric Corporate Safety Manager, Jerry
Yarbrough, announced today that the company’s Fourth Quarter
Superintendent Safety Award for 2005 has gone to Bay Project
Superintendent Steve Lynch.
Lynch received the Bay Safety
Award based on his work at the Boone Clinic Restroom Renovation project at the
Little Creek Naval Amphibious base in Virginia Beach, according to Yarbrough.
Lynch was selected for the award over all of Bay superintendents on construction
projects in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and
Florida.
"All Steve’s work at Little Creek
has been preformed in a medical facility that has remained open with hundreds of
patients coming through daily," said John F. Biagas, Bay Electric CEO. "Steve
did an extraordinary job keeping the job site clean and free from hazards which
could have resulted in potential lost time accidents."
As Superintendent on the Boone
Clinic project, one of Lynch’s roles is to safeguard the work site while Bay, as
general contractor, performs major demolition work, asbestos removal, HVAC,
electrical, drywall, acoustical ceilings, painting, tile, insulation, and
installing new doors and hardware.
Lynch, who has extensive
experience as a Project Superintendent, joined Bay Electric in August 2005.
