Bay Electric Project

Weapons of Mass Destruction Building

Georgia National Guard

Dobbins Air Reserve Base

Marietta, Ga.

$140,000

Bay was the contractor on this project to provide primary power to the Georgia National Guard's Weapons of Mass Destruction building at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, the largest multi-service reserve training base in the world.

For the project, Bay installed electrical and gas lines running to the base's Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Building.

Bay's team buried three #1/0 high voltage primary cables in a 630 ft. long, 3 ft. deep trench. The gas line was installed below Atlanta Avenue by jacking and boring.

The project, finished on time and faster than expected, also included:

  •  650 ft. of duck bank

  • 700 ft. of pipe

  • Asphalt work and repairs to the parking lot

As a result of the the quality work Bay did for the National Guard, Bay was selected by the Guard as one of fourteen contractors for a IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity) MATOC (Multiple Award Take Order) contract.
