The Appomattox Manor House, built in
1763, housed President Abraham Lincoln for three weeks during the latter stages
of the Civil War. Union General Ulysses S. Grant was housed nearby in a smaller
cabin on the property.
After years of wear, the Appomattox
Manor was in need of renovation work which Bay Electric handled.
